The product considered in this research follows the specification of BM&FBovespa (wean calf, male, nelore, 8 to 12 months age). The Brazilian calf has distinguished qualities and, for that reason, prices present a great dispersion (if compared to the steer prices, for example), even when factors such as age, race, geographic location are delimited.
