Brazilian growers consider costs’ hedge

Brazilian soybean growers are focused on trade strategies for 2006/07. The strategy of anticipate sells to hedge the production costs should increase this year, considering that growers face scarce financial support. They also want to avoid the situation of the last season.

The domestic soybean prices move around 12.50 dollars per bag of 60 kilos, almost unchanged in the month, oscillating according to the futures in Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CBOT) and Brazilian currency behavior.
