Brazilian growers focused on harvest

The 2006/07 arabica coffee production started to be harvested in almost every producing area of Brazil. Due to the dry weather, growers prefer to intensify harvest activities instead of trading. The lack of rain is also responsible for a little maturation delay. For that reason, coffee supply is still limited.

Market players are focused on the weather conditions. The winter season started last June 23, bringing concerns about frosts occurrence. Arabica coffee from the new season has been traded around 220.00 reals or 98.65 dollars per bag of 60 kilos.
