Without rains in most part of Sao Paulo state, mills started the process again during May. Besides that, some of them, in need of cash, offered a larger volume. In this context of a higher ethanol supply from the new crop, the hydrated quotations moved down. From May 5th to 9th, the CEPEA/ESALQ Index for this type averaged 0.7498 real or 0.4470 dollar per liter (excluding taxes), decreasing 2.1 percent over the previous week.
For the anhydrous, the supply kept stable and the demand increased, supporting the values. The CEPEA/ESALQ Index for this type averaged 0.8301 real or 0.4949 dollar per liter (excluding taxes), rising 3.48 percent. (Cepea - Brazil)
