Limited supply supports prices

Brazilian sugar prices follow in relative stability since the beginning of the new crop processing. The domestic supply got a little better, in fact, but not so much for the white sugar, which is still limited in the market. The domestic prices received by mills in São Paulo state keep around 23.00 to 24.00 dollars per bag of 50 kilos since March.

Even with the increasing international prices, the remuneration has been similar between the domestic trades and the exports, in São Paulo state.
