October’s average was 33 pct superior

October has been marked by record soybean export FOB prices and by the valuation of the Real against the dollar. The result was increasing domestic values, boosted also by the off-season period.

The CEPEA/ESALQ Index (Parana state) averaged 39.91 reals or 22.17 dollars per bag of 60 kilos in the accumulated of October, rising 33 percent over the April's average (commercialization period). In dollar, the increase was of 50.2 percent, limited by the valuation of 13.8 percent of the Real against the dollar.
