The orange supply keeps restrict in the Sao Paulo state. For a while, few volumes of early and mid-season varieties and also tangerines have been harvested. Market agents bet on higher quantities from the end of April on, with the fall season. The lower temperatures during the night and the hot weather in the day accelerate the fruits coloration.
According to growers, fruits have already reached the ideal size, helped by good weather conditions at the beginning of the year - rains. However, lots of them are not mature yet.
Regarding the market pace, the weak demand has been reducing trades. This Monday, April 16th, pera orange (in natura market) averaged 16.67 reals or 8.17 dollars per box of 40.8 kilos, in tree, down 9 percent in Real over March 30th.
