manioc starch (FOB) at the cassava processing plant, paper bagged (25 kg), with the following tolerance limit:

Currency The average is originally calculated in Real, but it is also released in US dollar. It is a simple conversion of the value in Real to dollars – commercial exchange rate, asking price at 4:30 p.m. (Brasilia time);
Payment deadline:  released values refer to a 28-day deadline;
Discount rate:  Values are converted into a 28-day term payment by discounting the NPR (Rural Promissory Note) rate;
Statistical treatment: the averages are calculated based on the sample data between two standard deviations up or down compared to the sample average; 
Taxes: 2.3% CESSR (former-Funrural) included;
Frequency: weekly;
Regions where information is collected: 

LSC (Southern Coast of Santa Catarina: Capivari de Baixo region), AIC (Alto Vale do Itajaí: Rio do Sul region), EOP (Extreme West of Paraná: Marechal Cândido Rondon region – including Realeza region), COP (Centralwestern Paraná: Araruna region), NOP (Northwestern Paraná: region of Paranavaí), ESM (Extreme South of Mato Grosso do Sul: Naviraí region), Som (Southwestern Mato Grosso do Sul: Ivinhema region) and ASS (Assis region);

Cepea Average:  average of the regions mentioned above;
Historic:  since January 2002;
Agents consulted for the survey:  Companies from the cassava starch industry, purchasers from several sectors, agents from companies and brokers;
Other Cepea surveys for the cassava market: root (prices to growers) and flour (gross and thin).
