PRODUCT SPECIFICATION:  lamb (sheep with deciduous dentition);
UNITY OF MEASUREMENT: kilo of live lamb;
CURRENCY: Real (BRL);
DELIVERY: the product to be withdrawn at the farm;
DISCOUNT RATE FOR TERM PAYMENTS: It does not exist. Values are collected in cash payment;
PRICE AVERAGE IN THE STATES: Bahia, Ceará, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo;
FREQUENCY: monthly;
TAXES: prices do not consider taxes;
HISTORIC: since September 2015;
AGENTS SURVEYED FOR THE RESEARCH: Producers of animals to slaughter and to reproduce and slaughterhouses;
METHODOLOGICAL CRITERIA: Data face statistical treatment through the standard deviation, which stipulates minimum and maximum error limits – in other words, information regarding closed trades that are out of two standard deviations range average is excluded. After this procedure, simple average prices of the live kilo of lamb meat, the carcass kilo and the commercial reproducer are calculated to each state surveyed by Cepea.
